SC Child Care Resource & Referral (SC CCR&R) is a team of dedicated, experienced ECE professionals working to promote high-quality early care and education (ECE) in South Carolina. We provide free, statewide services to South Carolina’s families, early childhood programs, and communities in our efforts to connect, support, and engage ECE stakeholders across the state. What does this look like?
CONNECT
Our referral service provides families with the tools and resources they need to make informed choices about child care. We provide customized child care referrals to help families find the right program. When families need help paying for child care, we connect them with one of South Carolina’s various financial assistance options. These include the SC DSS Child Care Scholarship Program and free or reduced-cost Pre-K programs like Head Start, First Steps 4k, and SCDE Public School Pre-K.
SUPPORT
We offer ECE programs professional development opportunities like training, technical assistance (TA), and coaching to help them provide an ever-increasing quality of care and education to South Carolina’s children.
ENGAGE
We collaborate with community and partner organizations to raise awareness of local, regional, and statewide ECE needs and to develop initiatives that will be impactful to children and families across the state.
Our goal is to work collaboratively with our fellow South Carolinians to increase the accessibility and supply of high-quality early care and education (ECE) across our state.
